Forza Horizon 5 players have a new season of events and challenges to tackle from today, as the current Series moves into its second week.
As usual there’s a theme for the shenanigans this month, with Series 33 going by the name of “Apex Allstars”. If you’re a regular player, you should know what to expect at this point: “Horizon Apex” is the road-racing hub in the game, and that’s what you’ll be doing over the four weeks.
That means the focus is off the dirt tracks and offroad areas of the map, and on the hard stuff. The reward cars for the series are appropriately intended for the pavement with five new racing cars to collect — one of which is just a straight up dragster. You’ll score an Evolving World Accolade if you manage to pick up all five too.
New EventLab props aside, there’s not a lot of time for aesthetics this month as Mexico returns to its standard form. Even including the stadium!

Series 33: Apex Allstars
The two rewards for this Series follow something of a theme, in that they look quite like the cars with which they share names but there’s very little of the original left underneath.
That’s exemplified by the 80-point car, which is just a dragster with a Camaro body on top. The Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro is 1,400hp of engine stuffed into a spaceframe and a roughly Camaro-resembling shell, and it’s designed to hit a point 440 yards away in 6.5 seconds from rest. Should be fun on the dirt roads then…
Alongside that is the Hot Wheels Trans-Am, previously seen in Series 23. You’ll need 160 points to grab this highly modified beast which won the 2022 Hot Wheels Legends Tour — making it eligible to be turned into a diecast toy. The real thing sports over 1000hp, all heading to the back wheels.
Series 33 Autumn/Storm Season Rewards
There’s another racing car up for 20 points this week, in the shape of the Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
This particular car is a Korean sedan, built in Germany and campaigned in the USA in the Michelin Pilot Challenge. It’s a front-wheel drive machine packing 300hp from the two-liter turbocharged engine and should be pretty handy around some of the compact road courses in FH5.
At 40 points you can pick up a spiritual predecessor of sorts in the Alfa Romeo 155 Q4.
A classic homologation special, the 155 Q4 was essentially a Lancia Delta HF Integrale in a slightly classier body. It gained the 187hp, two-liter turbo from the rally machine, as well as all-wheel drive.
Autumn will run until 1430UTC on Thursday May 9, while Series 33 will continue for another two weeks until the same time on Thursday May 23.
Series 33 Autumn Playlist: Forzathon Events
The second race-ready machine of this month’s Forzathon Weekly Challenges is the 2017 Ford GT. Own and drive one (it’s a prize for the Making History Seasonal Championship this week) to get Grand Tourer underway.
You’ll need to head to the La Silica Speed Zone on the west coast near the La Cabana Player House and score at least two stars there with the Ford GT. This can be a tricky zone, requiring a southward run across the beach, but the 90mph target is a relative breeze.
While you’re there, take the opportunity to jump over the dunes on the beach (and Dunas Blancas itself) to score three Ultimate Air Skills — that’s a jump of around two to three seconds and a safe landing on all four wheels. Finally take a photo of the car to complete the event, for five Playlist points and 80 Forzathon Points.
Forzathon Weekly Challenge: Grand Tourer

The next set of seven Daily Challenges will pop up at their usual rate of one each day at 1430 UTC. Each allows seven full days to complete them, for a point apiece.
Be Win Diesel first, as you take victory in any Street Racing event in the Dodge Charger R/T ’69.
Do You Even… drift? Earn three stars at Drift Zones to show that Oh, You Do.
You’ll need to take an old, Trident Tested car out next, scoring a Great Skill Chain in the Peel Trident. This requires that you net 5,000 Skill Score before any multiplier in one sequence, so get out and get stunting.
Every car from Hiroshima is a Mazda Piece, so take a photo of any Mazda to show it off.
You’ll need to be a Large Cardron Collider next, earning a Give it a Charge Skill in the Ariel Atom V8. This comes from smashing any solar panel, so the solar farm between Mulege and the highway is a great place to check this off.
Squad Up with other players and complete a Horizon Tour. Note that you’ll need Xbox Core for this unless you play on PC.
Finally beat any Rivals ghost in any Toyota Supra, and be Supra Dupra.

Series 33 Autumn Playlist: Season Events
There’s nine events in a nicely symmetrical single-player list this week: three PR Stunts, three EventLabs, and three Seasonal Championships — though one of the latter has a twist.
All three of the PR Stunts require an S1 Class (801-900PI) Super GT car, and each awards the usual two Playlist points and a Super Wheelspin.
The targets are quite high for the car category, but within reach if you can get the approaches right. Of the three, the Bulevar Speed Trap in Guanajuato is probably the easiest at 188mph, but you’ll want to get your lines spot on for the 162mph Canyon Pass Speed Trap and the 120mph Rio Fuerte Speed Zone at opposite ends of Copper Canyon.
Two of the Seasonal Championship events are the usual three-race championships against “Highly Skilled” AI, but one is one race only. In each case you’ll need to top the points table at the end of the Road Racing event to claim five points and the bonus rewards.
That exception is Making History, which runs at the lengthy Goliath course. It’s only for A Class (701-800PI) examples of the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk2 (in the Forzathon Shop) and 1967 Ferrari P4 (a prize from another Seasonal), and awards a 2017 Ford GT (for the Forzathon Weekly).
Vroom Vroom Saloon! awards the Ferrari P4, and is a championship for A Class (701-800PI) Super Saloons. You’ll need a B Class (601-700PI) car from the custom Homologation Heroes hopper for A Hero Comes Along, which awards a Peugeot 207 Super 2000.
Two of the three, three-point EventLabs are custom race circuit venues, while the third is a pretty creative — if malignant — route through Guanajuato.
That’s Circuit de Mulege GP, for A Class (701-800PI) GT and Super GT cars. Win the three-lap event to earn a Zenvo TSR-S — handy for the Treasure Hunt this week.
The Lodge Raceway gives you a three-lap run at a custom venue in Bahia de Plano for S1 Class (801-900PI) Hypercars, and a 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R for victory. Meanwhile Red Bramble Raceway takes you across to EventLab Island for another three-lapper, this time for A Class (701-800PI) Track Toys and awarding a Super Wheelspin.

The Trial remains as the only Multiplayer event this week, requiring either an Xbox Core subscription or a PC — on which it’s free — in order to take part.
You’ll need to Porsche it to the Limit this week, with any S1 Class (801-900PI) Track Toys car from the Porsche brand for this team challenge.
The event pits a group of up to six human players against a team of six “Unbeatable” AI. Your goal is not to win yourself but to outscore the AI as a team. To that end, every opponent you beat earns you 100pt, but you gain nothing for beating a team mate.
You’ll need to help each other out, primarily by not getting in each other’s way by fighting for position, and hinder the AI where possible to allow slower team-mate to pass for the points. However the cars this week are relatively rapid and at the upper end of what most players can keep under control.
Nonetheless, it should be a simple enough to win inside two races (with plenty of bad blood among humans) and you’ll earn ten points and the 911 GT1 Street Version for doing so.

Series 33 Autumn Playlist: Challenges
We’ve slipped back to two Challenges this week, with a Photo Challenge (of course) and a Treasure Hunt.
In keeping with the rhyming challenges, the Photo Challenge is #CarreraAtProspera. Just take any Porsche Carrera model — the in-game completion check says the 906 Carrera, but any will do; we used the Carrera GT — to the start point for the Tierra Prospera Circuit event and photograph it for two points and the rare Traffic Cone outfit.
Another lengthy clue for the Treasure Hunt this week boils down to a pretty simple solution. Your challenge for Zoomin’ Zenvos is to take either Zenvo model to a three-star score at the Oceano Azul Speed Trap (235mph or better) to earn the hint.
It’s actually a well-hidden chest this week, under one of the boardwalks at the north-east end of the mangrove swamp near Playa Azul. Smash it to earn three points and 250,000cr.

Series 33 Autumn Playlist: Monthly Events
There’s four Monthly Events once again, with 16 points on offer for clearing them during the 28-day window. You can do this at any time in the Series to score the points, with each adding one point to each season (whether active, completed, or yet to come).
The challenge here is to set a clean time at the respective courses in the cars provided to you, two of which will be from the paid DLC pack as a little teaser. Fast times aren’t required, so just keep it off solid objects, pass through all the checkpoints and — especially in the Sprint event — avoid the Rewind button.
You’ll be driving the Hyundai Elantra N around the compact Bola Ocho circuit, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Time Attack car at Los Jardines. The paid DLC Corvette C8.R is up for a blast around Bahia de Plano, with the big BMW M8 GTE taking on the Sierra Verde Sprint.

Series 33 Autumn Bonus DLC Events
The DLC expansion packs each offers up seven bonus points — through a two-point PR Stunt and a five-point Seasonal Championship — for a combined 14 additional points that aren’t required for Series completion, but offer an alternative if the other events aren’t to your taste.
You’ll need a C Class (501-600PI) Toyota Celica for both events in Rally Adventure. It’s the star of the Royalty of Rally seasonal there, with a Reaper Cackle Horn as the bonus prize, and you’ll need to average 58mph through the dunes at the Crateres Secos Speed Zone. Tune for the thick sand…
It’s a lot faster in Hot Wheels, with the Hennessey Venom required for both events and at S2 Class (901-998PI). The Hammer’s Shadow Speed Trap target is 235mph, while the Poison Drive-y Seasonal will gift you a 2013 Dodge Viper for completion.

Series 33 Autumn Forzathon Shop
This month’s Forzathon Shop theme is for rare and expensive vehicles, to save you a few million credits in the Autoshow.
Another race car fronts the shop this week, with the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk2. This is the car that took Ford’s first victory at Le Mans in the hands of Denny Hulme and Chris Amon — in lightly controversial style as Ford attempted a dead heat, only for the #2 car to be classified first as it had driven further.
Alternatively you can pick up the Lamborghini Veneno, a limited edition car developed from the Aventador as a “race car for the road”.
Both cars are pretty expensive, at 11 million and three million respectively, so the 900FP and 700FP pricings are a good way to save some cash.
This week’s other store items are the Blue Wrestling Mask and Blue Wrestling Outfit (continuing the theme of the Series), and the Walkie Talkie Emote. A Wheelspin and a Super Wheelspin are also available at their usual 60FP and 150FP respectively.
